There's A MY HERO ACADEMIA Based Battle Royale Game In The Works

During the “Summer Showcase” at Anime Expo 2022, Bandai Namco revealed a new game from the development team BYKING. The same studio behind the My Hero One’s Justice game series is working on a new title called My Hero Ultra Rumble. This new game will be a free-to-play battle royale title and it all begins with a PlayStation 4 Closed Beta Test that interested fans can pre-register for today!

Players will join one of eight three-player teams as Heroes or Villains as they battle on expansive citywide maps. By controlling classic My Hero characters, fans can make the most of their Quirks to attack enemies and cooperate with their team to survive fights. Players can also contribute to their team’s victory by rescuing or intimidating civilians on the field to obtain powerful items that can determine the outcome of the battle.

If you do plan to sign up for the PS4 Closed Beta Test, note that it will run in two phases:

  • Phase 1: Starts on Aug. 17 at 7:00 p.m. PT, and ends on Aug. 18 at 3:00 a.m. PT

  • Phase 2: Starts on Aug. 18 at 7:00 p.m. PT and ends on Aug. 21 at 11:00 a.m. PT

My Hero Ultra Rumble is planned to release on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. What do you think of this anime-based battle royale concept?
