Dual Effect and Abstract Digital are gearing up to take horror players back to the classic gameplay style of fixed perspectives. Tormented Souls was developed with inspiration from the cult classics Resident Evil and Silent Hill, so you can expect to need to collect resources, build weapons, and solve puzzles using anything and everything you can to fight back against the unspeakable creatures roaming the town of Winterlake.

With a free demo still available on PlayStation 5 and their Steam page, which has left a positive first impression so far, publisher PQube has helped them get ready to release the full game on August 27th. While the game will be available digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, it will only be available physically on the PlayStation 5. A physical edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 is planned to follow this initial launch. You can also pre-order the game on Funstock and receive an exclusive Sun and Moon Coin along with a physical copy of the game.
