VOICE OF CARDS: THE FORSAKEN MAIDEN Gets A Surprise Reveal

Square Enix revealed today that Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden will be the next entry in the Voice of Cards series from developer Alim. The new title will be a standalone game that tells a new, original story set in a world where everything is presented in card form.

Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden tells the story of a hero from a chain of islands that count the beings called Maidens as their protectors. The protagonist, along with a young woman who was rejected from becoming a Maiden, must set out on a quest to save the islands from an impending catastrophe.

As with the first game in the series, players will also have the option to purchase additional cosmetic packs that include NieR: Automata-themed appearances for some of the characters, the game board, and the cards that make up the world. There will also be additional cosmetic bonuses for any players who pre-order the game for the Nintendo Switch or Steam.

Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden comes shortly after the release of Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, which hit consoles and PC in October of 2021. The franchise comes from the talented developers behind the NieR and Drakengard series, including the Creative Director YOKO TARO.

Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden will release for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on February 17th, 2022. Pre-orders are now live for the Nintendo Switch and Steam.
