During last week’s WitcherCon, there was a lot of new information surrounding the world in which Geralt resides. We learned about some new things like the new comic book, The Witcher: Ronin, a new AR RPG for mobile (Android/iOS) called, The Witcher: Monster Slayer (July 21st), and The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf anime (August 23rd on Netflix).

Of course, we also learned about the highly anticipated second season of The Witcher television series on Netflix which is premiering on December 17th.

Aside from the season 2 details, my favorite announcement is that there are some very exciting things happening for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. A next-gen edition of the game will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and will be available to owners of current-gen versions free of charge.

Alongside the enhancements to the game overall, players will also receive some bonus items inspired by the Netflix series! As someone who’s always wanted to put time aside to get into The Witcher 3, there isn’t a better time to do so! While we don’t have an actual date of when this will roll out, I’m optimistic that we’ll get it in time for the second season’s premiere.
