Last month we talked about A Tale of Paper, the PlayStation 4 exclusive from developers Open House Games that mixes platforming and puzzles without the use of power-ups and instead with the use of oragami. The team wanted to show off some more about the game to get players excited for its release later this year. To do this, they released a new teaser to show off some scenery and music while giving more details about what the game will entail.
For starters, they gave us some more details on the story. We play as Line, a paper boy who magically came to life, who we will assist as he embarks on an adventure full of loss and hope, escaping unusual dangers, and gaining the strength needed to complete his journey. It is a story that will be told without words and instead through experience from both the world and its objects with a variety of levels each with its own ambiance and story to tell.
They also added on to the quote from last time to include the fact that this won’t be a typical 2D platformer. Instead, the camera will scroll laterally to follow along with the player who will have the freedom to move through the world in any direction. With this added information and new teaser, are you starting to get excited about this upcoming puzzle-platformer?
