Awesome Video Shows Off the Creation of the STEAM CONTROLLER

Valve created the Steam Controller to help bridge the gap between the console and the PC gamer. It offers a precision unlike any other controller on the market in a way that usually only a mouse and keyboard can. While it is not quite the pin-point accuracy of a high end gaming mouse, it definitely does the trick for some great couch gaming.

To celebrate the success of their sweet new piece of gear, Valve created a fun little video showing the creation of their manufacturing line, and the building of the Steam Controller. I've always been a fan of shows that display how things are mass produced. This video shows off the cool, intricate workings of an automated assembly line with a gamer twist.

For more details on recent Steam Controller software updates, please see http://store.steampowered.com/controller/update/dec15 When we first started designing hardware at Valve, we decided we wanted to try and do the manufacturing as well. To achieve our goal of a flexible controller, we felt it was important to have a similar amount of flexibility in our manufacturing process, and that meant looking into automated assembly lines.
