A new all-star development team called Theorycraft Games is a team with past experiences including League of Legends, VALORANT, Overwatch, Halo, Destiny, and Apex Legends. This new team is ready to reveal their debut title, currently called Project Loki, a team-based, competitive PvP game, and a blend of genres, aimed at becoming the world’s next “10,000-hour game.”
Project Loki is a squad-based hero battleground—a blend of genres and a new take on hero-based combat. Described by playtesters as “League meets Apex meets Smash,” this game is an all-in-one group adventure, a competitive sandbox, and a highlight factory. In a session of Loki, players will assemble a squad of heroes; outplay other teams in sprawling, free-flowing battles; run the edge of a huge world in the sky; and dream up crazy strategies in a massive combat sandbox.
The game is still in early development, the team is confident in the core game loop and ready to share more by massively expanding their playtests. The latest playtest has just passed, but they are sure to soon announce a new playtest session. If you are interested in catching the next playtest, sign up on their website today.
