During the Nintendo Direct conference at this year’s E3, Nintendo and developer Camelot Software Planning released a new trailer for Mario Golf: Super Rush detailing the different modes players will enjoy when the game launches later this month.
Standard Golf – Navigate your golf ball around diverse courses to score par or better. This game mode can be played locally against 4 players, online, or against CPU-controlled opponents.
Speed Golf – This mode looks to include battle elements from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The goal is the be the first one to finish the hole. On your way to your ball, you will have to ability to slow down your opponents by using special shots, shells, and other items like those found in Mario Kart.
Battle Golf – Battle your friends in 9 flagged marked holes and obstacle-filled arena. Capture three flags to win.
Golf Adventure – Build up your Mii character from rookie to pro and take on unique challenges along the way. This looks to include classic Mario Golf RPG elements fans have been requesting.
Additionally, free updates will be added to the game post-launch and will include new courses, battle arenas, and playable characters. I have personally been waiting for a new Mario Golf game since the switch launched and Mario Golf: Super Rush looks to include everything I could have hoped for!
