Remember a few months back when I reported on the rumor of a disk-less variant of the Xbox One S? Well it seems that those rumors are back and stronger than ever! As reported by Windows Central, the disk-less Xbox One S code-named Maverick is supposedly being launched this May with pre-orders beginning this April. The console variation will also carry the name of Xbox One S All-Digital Edition.

Not much else has been shared at this time or whether or not the other rumored Xbox One S redesign is still going to happen. We also have no new updates on the supposed price of the All-Digital Edition but according to the previous rumors we can expect it to come in at under $200. With the increasing popularity of digital downloads and services like Xbox Game Pass or EA Access it makes sense for now to be the time a digital only console might emerge. As with all rumors take this with a grain of salt until official confirmation can be given.
