Even More MORTAL KOMBAT 1 Trailer Breakdowns!

Mortal Kombat 1 is coming quick around the corner. With that being said developers at NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros Games are not slowing down! They are releasing trailers like people still don’t know the game is coming out. With a combo of story, character, and general hype trailers, I could not be happier. Here I’ll breakdown the three most recent trailers like I did previously for all the trailers that were out until that point.

Banished Trailer

I’ll start with the oldest and work my way to the newest trailer featuring Dave Bautista. One thing that is really showcased in the Banished trailer is the gore. We get our first look at some returning characters and they really show us the brutality that Mortal Kombat can bring.

We get a look at Syzoth or how you probably know him as Reptile (the ninja that shape shifts), returning with his human from and a badass new style! We see him able to shapeshift between his human and reptile form and he also seems to be misunderstood rather than a straight up bad guy. Ashrah (the princess in white) is also introduced in this trailer, and while she may not be known to most she has made her Mortal Komabt debut previously in Mortal Kombat: Deception. We get a good look at her fighting style and an idea of where she might stand in the story. We also see the return of Havik (warrior with the gruesome playstyle) with a new and almost frightening redesign. They double down the chaos with Havik by showcasing his regeneration abilities and how he will mutilate himself to gain the upper hand.

Rulers of the Outworld Trailer

In this trailer we get some HUGE details on the story and where this timeline stands. We get a look at the artist formerly known as Shao Khan now just General Shao because he’s no longer the ruler of the outworld. We see the one true queen Sindel sitting in that throne as Shao commands her army. Sindel is shown fighting the good fight as Shao gets his John Cena on with ruthless aggression, and tries to convince her to go into pointless war. In a very crazy twist the new Earth Realm champion stands as Raiden as General Shao takes the champion spot for Outworld. Once enemies, always enemies I guess, they have been destined to battle in every timeline. Like always we get some new tastes of fatalities and Kameo fighters. Some returning characters that are cool to see back as Kameo’s are Motaro and Shunjinko, some faces we haven’t seen in a long time.

It’s In Our Blood Trailer

I don’t have much to say about this trailer other than, BAUTISTA. This trailer doesn’t give us any new reveals but what it does reveal is how hyped I am for this game. The classic Mortal Kombat voice over monologue that Bautista gives is perfect. It fits over any Mortal Kombat trailer you’ve seen and it does exactly what it’s supposed to. This was the perfect hype trailer that nobody asked for.

Mortal Kombat 1 will be available on September 19th for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
