During The Game Awards 2019 we were treated with a few world premiers for various games, one of which was a cinematic trailer for Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment’s upcoming game Magic: Legends. Based on the popular strategic card game, Magic: The Gathering, this game caught the interest of RPG and Magic players alike. But now we finally have further details on when and what to expect!
Planned for a PC launch sometime in 2020 and a console launch in 2021 for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, this MMORPG is set to be a free-to-play action-packed experience. They even did a gameplay reveal trailer and it looks like a simplistic version of a Diablo-like title. Before starting the gameplay trailer below, keep in mind that if you want to be part of the first players to experience Magic: Legends then be sure to sign up today so you have the opportunity to participate in the beta that is set to kick off this Spring!
In case you were wondering, there have been two classes confirmed to be playable in the beta. Here’s a closer look at them:
The Geomancer draws upon the power of the Earth to pummel enemies in close quarters with devastating stone and lava attacks. They are capable of absorbing blows that would otherwise incapacitate other Planeswalkers with their rock shield. Geomancers prefer to call upon creatures like goblins, kavu, and earth elementals.
The Mind Mage personifies cool intellect. As a Planeswalker that focuses on psychic powers, they can battle enemies from a safe distance, controlling projectiles with telekinetic powers, and lockdown dangerous foes with spells that put them to sleep or turn them against their allies.
