The upcoming psychological horror title from Bloober Team, The Medium, will feature a unique and patented gameplay mechanic that is being called “Dual-Reality”. Dual-reality will allow the player to explore two different dimensions at the same time, providing many unique puzzles to solve and areas to explore throughout the course of the game.
The brand new dual-reality gameplay feature (trailer available below) was showcased during Xbox’s recent game showcase, along with a brand new story trailer (available above) that showcased a terrifying monster that appears to hunt the player down throughout the game. The story trailer also shows off some dual-reality gameplay and dives deeper into the protagonist’s vision that has been talked about previously.
The Medium is scheduled for a Holiday 2020 release later this year, alongside the Xbox Series X as a console launch exclusive. The title will be available to play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows 10 PCs.
