GOLEM Is Coming This Fall And It Is Getting A Physical Release!

The highly anticipated PSVR title Golem is finally getting a launch window for this fall! The title is in development by Highwire Games, formed by former Bungie composer Marty O'Donnell, and is composed of a number of industry veterans, including other former Bungie employees. Golem was first announced back in 2016 and in that time the team has been heavily refining the game to the highest possible standard. With the pedigree involved in the project Golem is set to be one of the best VR games ever made!

It’s so gratifying to see our original vision for Golem come together into a full experience. We’ve really had to push ourselves and the technology, but I think the game is beautiful and I can’t wait for everyone to be able to play it. And we’re pretty old school, so it won’t feel ‘finished’ for us until we see it on store shelves.
— Jaime Griesemer, Creative Director at Highwire

In Golem, players assume the role of Twine, a kid who has become bedridden due to an accident. Twine has learned a new ability in this mandatory down time though and that is to control giant stone golems. Through this new ability Twine is able to see things from the golems perspective and explore the larger outside world. Using the golems, players will be able to explore abandoned cites and find treasures. A greater mystery is also here to be discovered! The game will also have a score from legendary composer Marty O’Donnell and I can’t wait to here it!

The game is slated to release digitally through the PlayStation Store while a physical version will be handled by Perp Games for North America and Europe. No price point or specific release date has yet been given for Golem so check back soon.
