Gothic Classic is a classic retro RPG that publisher THQ Nordic and developer Piranha Bytes are bringing to the Nintendo Switch with its own custom port. This is the first time players will be able to experience the classic RPG on a handheld device. Get ready to dive into the dark, deadly, and ironically gothic world of Gothic Classic with improved performance and UI and controllers designed for the port. With its new port Gothic Classic is also adding a tin of fixes and updates to the game, a list of which players can find here.
In case you’ve never heard of Gothic Classic before, its a classic retro RPG with over 50 hours of gameplay. There is a heavy focus on story with 3 different NPC factions that players can encounter. Players will journey through the wartorn kingdom of Myrtana after escaping from a prison colony all the while dodging Orcs that have invaded the kingdom. Players will journey and fight their way across the land as you fight with weapons and spells.
Gothic Classic is available on PC via Steam and will arrive as a port onto the Nintendo Switch on September 28th, 2023.
