A few weeks ago, I had the chance to try out GravaStar’s Mercury M2 wireless gaming mouse and came out of it in love with what was offered. Following it up though, GravaStar gave me the chance to test out their flagship; the Mercury M1 Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse. And while I loved the M2, I think I may have to leave it for the M1.

In all honesty, the M1 seems to fair similarly to the M2 in several areas, so if you want the bulk of how this mouse feels, then I would just skim that M2 review that I did. In this review, I’m going to be speaking solely about the differences this mouse has over that one, as well as how it improves over that one. The M2 retails for about $80, and the M1 goes for $100ish unless you purchase the Battle Worn Edition, which is what I was sent. More on that later.

Features and Quality

The differences between the M1 to the M2 are actually pretty big, even though the price point is only by a $20 difference. The big one for many may be that the M1 is able to use the 4K wireless dongle that GravaStar sells. This gives players a much stronger signal, allowing for a steadier stream of gameplay without loss of mouse tracking.

Additionally, the M1 boasts over 200 hours of gameplay, as opposed to the M2’s 80 hours of gameplay. That’s a big difference. It’s almost three times the amount of gameplay that players can get out of a single charge. Honestly, though, these mice seem to charge pretty fast, so it’s up to the user as to if that’s important to them. For me, it’s a huge plus.

My favorite feature of the M1 though is that it’s built from magnesium alloy which gives it a fair bit of weight. I love how this one feels, even with it still being slightly on the smaller side, I do feel that the weight makes it more comfortable somehow. The alloy design also makes it feel all the more durable. As I use this with a gaming laptop, I feel even more comfortable just tossing this in my laptop bag without worry of it breaking.

Now, as I was sent the Battle Worn Silver-Mist Edition, there’s even more to love about this mouse. Retailing at $129.99 as opposed to the traditional M1 Pro price of $99.99, this version is personally handcrafted to make your experience with the mouse one-of-a-kind. It’s a pretty neat thing and makes me fall head-over-heels for its design.

Feedback

Honestly, the only feedback I have for GravaStar is for them to maybe better illustrate the differences between all of their gaming mice on their site. The only way to compare them or get all of their various specs to differentiate them was by checking out the bundle sale page they have listed. It’s just not super clear why a customer should purchase the M1 Pro over the M2 aside from the fact that it has Pro in its name and costs more.

Conclusion

When push comes to shove, I’d argue that this is my favorite gaming mouse I’ve ever used. Though I may have scored other gaming mice better, I’d still choose this one over them. It’s a solid-looking gaming mouse that features tons of bells and whistles that make it well worth its pretty humble price tag. The GravaStar Mercury M1 Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse is a must-have for serious gamers.
