HOMEFRONT: THE REVOLUTION Developers Admit Game "Has Issues" Day Of Launch

There's something truly bizarre going on with the development team behind Homefront: The Revolution. Yesterday there were reports from around the web that the end credits for the game featured a several paragraph statement in which the team talked about the game's issues in development. Now, on its day of launch, the community manager took to the internet to say the game "still has issues".

...we're also aware that performance - particularly frame rate - is not currently where we want it to be, and we are working on additional patches to help address these issues and more. Patch notes per platform will be available on the community forums and on Steam when they go live.

I guess I appreciate the transparency, but what the hell happened to standing by your work?! Like, I understand games today are more often than not rushed and delivered broken but don't start weaving a sob story and think I'm going to purchase out of pity! I'll be honest, I played the first Homefront, and even if it was graphically sound, it was still pretty bad.

Maybe I'm being too harsh on a game that's been in development for quite awhile under several different teams, but I feel any damage control that's being done now is only digging a deeper grave.
