ICYMI: GORDIAN QUEST Launches!

Deck-building and inspired roots from old-school classics. These are the words used to describe Mixed Realms’ newest game Gordian Quest. Stepping away from their game development roots in VR, Mixed Realms have ventured into the realm of fantasy RPG deck-building and have just announced their newest title Gordian Quest is leaving early access on Steam

After receiving a lot of positive attention through reviews of their early access version, Mixed Realms are extremely excited to officially pull Gordian Quest out of early access and into the list of officially released titles. Gordian Quest boasts quite an ambitious attempt at blending the RPG and deck-building genres while offering some unique elements that are sure to give any veteran of the genre a good run. With hundreds of skills to choose from, a choice-matter system that impacts the course of your adventure, and a huge variety of characters to play, Gordian Quest is hitting all points to a great deck-builder.

The element that intrigues me the most is the sheer amount of playable characters and how that will be balanced throughout the gameplay. The procedurally generated maps and dungeons are certainly going to allow for a ton of replayability, especially with this many characters to customize each run. Alongside this, the art style is really nice and clearly inspired by a blend of Japanese anime and Korean cartoons which compliments the fantasy context of the game perfectly.

We really can’t wait to jump into Gordian Quest and test our might against the endless hoards of monsters thrown at us. Do you think this will be the next big hit in the deck-building genre? Let us know below and be sure to check out the trailer above.
