JAK AND DAXTER PS2 Classics Is Coming For The PS4
A few months ago, PlayStation has been on a nostalgic trip with the re-release of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy on the PS4 via a digital download on the PlayStation Store. Now, Naughty Dog is also releasing the PS2 classics Jak II, Jak 3, and Jak X Combat Racing. These games will also be available to download on the PlayStation Store. Each of the games can be purchased individually for $14.99 each, or you can get all three as a bundle for less money for $39.99 on December 6. Check out some of the game's images below:
As someone who have enjoyed these classic games on my PS2 back in the early 2000s, I remember the countless hours going on an adventure with the dynamic duo. In 2003 with the release of Jak II for the PlayStation 2, Jak was given the ability to speak for the first time, which made players of the game see his perspective and from this game onward, the franchise have reached great success with the release of Jak 3 and Jak X.
The Jak and Daxter franchise replaced Naughty Dog’s highly successful Crash Bandicoot series as it transitioned from the PS1 to the PS2. We saw how Jak and Daxter evolved from fun lighthearted characters to a more darker version of themselves as they battle against multiple dark forces. It also paved way for Naughty Dog’s highly innovative story telling that made its subsequent franchises, Uncharted and The Last of Us (check out the trailer of The Last of Us 2 here), instant classics that won them several gaming awards and the hearts of gamers worldwide.
If you want to take your nostalgia a notch higher, take a look at this Legacy Dashboard Theme created by Truant Pixel, for $2.99 that will also be available on December 6, more details and video here. This new theme will transform your PS4 into a PS2 that will go well once you play Jak and Daxter. Are you excited for the re-release of this games?
