It's hard to believe it, but it's been 20 years since the first Resident Evil first hit store shelves and defined the term "survival horror". Since then, there really hasn't been a game that's measured up to what it's accomplished over multiple titles. Hell, it's even more impressive the game has managed to keep the storyline going over two decades. Granted, it's not an overly complicated one...but many other franchises have had way more to work with and required reboots.
I wouldn't have thought any of this, mind you, had I not just watched this really cool video about the history of Chris Redfield! If you're a fan of Resident Evil, this is worth a watch.
