Meet The Main Villain For RIVER CITY GIRLS 2 In New Trailer That Confirms 4-Player Co-op

While still working to get the sequel title to their beat ‘em up series out before the end of 2022, where they originally were aiming for this past summer, WayForward and Arc System Works shared a feature trailer to let players meet the main villain for River City Girls 2. This trailer also features confirmation that this game will include four-player cooperative action, in addition to previously announced features like six playable characters, online gameplay, a robust combat system, character-specific voiceovers, a massive nonlinear game world, and RPG-like character growth.

Crime lord Sabu breaks out of prison to avenge his daughter Sabuko's humiliating defeat at the hands of Misako and Kyoko. He immediately seizes control of River City and makes life miserable for the heroines, kicking them out of school and turning the town into a lawless battle zone. Sabu's efforts to restore his family name are aided by his snarky adopted son Ken and an army of underworld hoodlums led by tech expert Tsuiko, strength-enhancing chef Primo, and magic-wielding witch Blaire. Sabu's dominance is all but assured.

River City Girls 2 is bringing in aspects from both River City Girls 1 and River City Girls Zero to put together a new story continuation. While River City Girls 2 doesn’t have a confirmed release date, they are aiming to launch in Q4 2022 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
