Nintendo has just conifrmed that their Switch successor will be compatible with all of the Nintendo Switch software currently available. This is a major break as Nintendo has always had a track record of offering backward compatibility and the confirmation has helped many fans rest their worries on the console leaving their previous library behind.
In a tweet, Nintendo has confirmed that the successor to the Nintendo Switch, which is set to be announced before April 2025, will in fact be able to play games from the previous generation.
We still don’t know when and where Nintendo plans on revealing their new console, but you can bet that it will be an event to remember as the console is now 7 years old and fans are eager to finally upgrade to new hardware.
