Review: Toast Wood Paneling Looks Sexy On The PS4
If you're not a guy who likes vinyl wraps or covers on their console, I completely understand. I am that guy. I didn't even like removable stickers on my GameBoy growing up so I figured it'd be a cold day in hell before something like that ever found its way to my console. That was before the people at Toast reached out to me and had me try out their real wood cover for my PS4. I was skeptical, but now that I've got it, I want another for my Xbox One.
Toast covers are 100% real FSC certified wood. The pictures below really do no justice to the finished product, which looks absolutely amazing on my entertainment center right now by the way, but they will give you a good idea of what you're getting into. Take a look at some various designs for Xbox One and PS4 and continue on below:
The application of the wood was fairly easy. It's just one of those things where you have to be sure of your placement in the moment as opposed to hours later because this stuff gets stronger the longer it's on. In terms of durability, I don't imagine dropping it on concrete would help the look of the wood, but what the f*** are you doing dropping your PS4 on concrete?
Honestly, in terms of looks this thing looks absolutely gorgeous. My only real regret now is that I don't have a custom wood controller that matches it. If you're someone looking for a classy way to jazz up your console (or phone) these are the guys I suggest. Check out Toast's website here and see what they have to offer!
