Patriot's new Viper V760 Gaming Mechanical Keyboard impressed me from the moment I plugged it into my computer. The way that the keys are raised provides a very beautiful RGB effect on the aluminum chassis. One of my favorite things about this keyboard is the ability to change your RGB lighting effect all on the keyboard without using software.
The second best thing about this keyboard is the magnetic palm rest. The ability to remove and attach the palm rest so effortlessly helps add to the experience of using this keyboard. I don't know what it is with magnets but it's so satisfying watching and hearing it snap into place.
AESTHETICS AND BUILD QUALITY
This keyboard is absolutely gorgeous! The RGB lighting is very rich and bright just the way it should be. The aircraft grade aluminum chassis makes this keyboard feel very durable and rigid. Overall this keyboard is built very well mechanically.
WHAT IT COULD DO BETTER
I personally prefer red switches over brown and would like to see Patriot give you an option of either having red or brown switches for this keyboard. Just to be picky, the num, caps, and scroll lock are pretty plain it would be cool to see them at least match with RGB.
VERDICT
If you love brown switches and RGB mechanical keyboards this keyboard from Patriot is definitely for you. The price is super competitive with other mechanical keyboards out there, they have this keyboard listed for $119.99.
