Surprise! EVIL WEST Is Launching With A Co-op Campaign To Slay Vamps With A Friend

Flying Wild Hog has hit us with a lightning-fueled surprise punch with the announcement of a co-op mode for their vampire brawler/slasher, Evil West. This came as a welcomed addition to an already stellar-looking single-player experience. Players can play the entire campaign with a friend and take on the looming vampire threat.

The latest trailer shows off nearly 3 minutes of co-op gameplay displaying both players taking on the vampire-hunting role of Jessie. The gameplay looks very fun and chaotic, but it will be interesting to see if players will be able to chain combos together to take down the vampiric menace. It has been confirmed that the Host will carry the progression of the game and that some enemies will have variants that will increase the difficulty of challenging both players.

We have confirmed that unfortunately, crossplay will not be coming to Evil West even though it is a multiplatform game. I suppose just the fact that co-op exists for the title is a win in itself, however, crossplay would have really sweetened the deal. It is still unknown whether the game will support cross-gen play so that last-gen and current-gen players will be able to play together within the same console family.

Will you be playing Evil West in co-op mode? Are you wishing the game had a crossplay option? Let us know in the comments!

Evil West is launching on November 22nd for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
