After a long-awaited announcement, Red Barrels has finally given players the first good news leaning toward the completion of the next title in their Outlast series. After being originally announced two years ago, showing off some gameplay last year, and providing close followers a behind-the-scenes look in a Trials video series on their YouTube, we finally have our first opportunity to get a hands-on experience with The Outlast Trials!

Coming from their Gamescom 2022 trailer, they gave us another glimpse into the gameplay and environment before finally inviting anticipating players to volunteer as a subject for their trials closed beta. Unfortunately, the details on how to sign-up aren’t available yet, but the closed beta will take place from Oct. 28th to Nov. 1st, 2022.

We will be sure to announce when they open sign-ups for this closed beta, but The Outlast Trials has set up their game pages on both Steam and Epic Games Store for players to wishlist now. Will you be among the first subjects to descend into the madness of this multiplayer, cooperative horror experience?
