We've seen a lot of footage for Dragon Ball FighterZ, and its almost exclusively been in Japanese. This may not be a problem for some of the hardcore anime fans, but for those of us who grew up listening to the voices of Chris Sabat and Sean Schemmel might have trouble enjoying this game to its fullest extent without hearing them along for the ride.
So I did some digging, and it turns out Bandai Namco has confirmed an English dub will be happening to some obscure sources. One of which is a Korean gaming site, and the other a Dragon Ball Z fan site. Both reports surfaced around the same time as E3, and seem consistent in their reporting that an English voice dub will be happening sooner than later.
With the game's release in late January, there's still about three months to get folks in the studio for a couple lines (or just recycle what they have from older games) so those worried they aren't hearing English voices in the trailers just yet shouldn't be too concerned.
Would you play this game if it only had Japanese voices? Do you prefer the Japanese voices of Dragon Ball Z over the English cast? I personally can't stand Goku's voice in the Japanese version:
