YU-GI-OH MASTER DUEL Adds Labrynth Deck Archetype With New Update

After the end of season 11 of the ranked season a few weeks ago, we just received a big update to the Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel meta. Konami’s free-to-play online version of the popular trading card game remains behind the official card game in terms of available card pool by a year or so but we are slowly inching ever closer to the present. We previously covered the last big Master Duel Update here.

With the most recent update, the Labrynth archetype was added, along with the Runik archetype, as well as new support cards for the previously existing Predaplant and Weather archetypes. With the first wave of Labrynth and Runik cards coming in we may not see a complete change to the overall meta of the game but it will begin the start of the new meta to come as more cards come in future updates. In addition to the big additions to the card pool of Labrynth and Runik cards we also got a new structure deck Immortal Glory which contains a variety of zombie-themed cards some of which can not be obtained outside of the structure deck.

Aside from the new addition to the card pool we also have a new special event that just started for Master Duel players, the December 2022 Duelist Cup. Like the previous Duelist Cup, the event offers extremely generous rewards in terms of Gems, cards, and bragging rights. Players start at a duel level based on their ranked tier in the previous season. Simply opening the Duelist Cup mode will allow players to earn gems based on their previous rank before they have to grind their duelist level up to 20 to compete in the next stage of the tournament which starts on the 18th. In stage two as in the last tournament players will compete worldwide and cross-platform to earn the most points for that sweet sweet first place and the bragging rights that come with it. Now is the time to earn gems quick-and-easy to get more sweet sweet cards.

Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel is available on mobile devices, PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4 and 5.
