2020 Strikes With Another High Profile Delay! CYBERPUNK 2077 Pushed Back To September

Well, it seems that the delays of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Marvel’s Avengers weren’t enough for 2020’s gaming deities, they now demand the release date sacrifice of Cyberpunk 2077… Yup, Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed until September 17th from its original April 16th release window. CD Projekt Red took to Twitter to deliver the announcement which you can check out below.

So, the good news is that the game is fully finished content-wise and CD Projekt Red is hoping to use the additional 5 months to further polish and test that everything is working as it should. The bad news, you now get to wait an extra 5 months to play the game. With how massive the premise of Cyberpunk 2077 was it isn’t too surprising to see it get delayed to make sure it lives up to the CD Projekt Red quality. the length of the delay will also hopefully mean that the team won’t have to crunch as much as the original April release date would have called for. When the game finally does release on September 17th I think we will alll agree it will be worth the wait!
