Almost as if to remind us that Nintendo is the reason we even still have video games, the Super Smash Bros. series has been collecting third-party characters like it is nobodies business. But today, in a complete twist that nobody saw coming, they are announcing the addition of Final Fantasy's most iconic protagonist: Cloud Strife! It's like my formative gaming years are colliding head long in a "you got your chocolate in my peanut butter" situation. I haven't been this excited to see a Final Fantasy VII character in a fighting game since the first time I stumbled upon an Ehrgeiz: God Bless the Ring cabinet at my neighborhood arcade.
The DLC Pack will include Cloud with a classic costume and an Advent Children alternate costume, the Midgar arena level with summons that attack from the background, and Chocobo costumes for your Mii fighters!
