In these crazy days when the world seems at the brink of collapse from never-ending tweetstorms and a global pandemic, there is something comforting about reaching back into the past and enjoying something from a simpler time.

Maybe that’s why Machine Gun Kelly is topping the Billboard charts with his new rock album rather than a rap album. It’s produced by Travis Barker (Blink-182) and includes a cover of “Misery Business” from Paramore.

Maybe that’s why everyone is playing Among Us, a game that came out two years ago.

Maybe that’s why everyone is watching old movies at home rather than new movies in theaters. Though that might totally be out of necessity…

And maybe that’s why Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time feels so welcoming right now. With its time-traveling narrative and punchy visuals that bring us back to the beloved series that launched in 1996. Twenty-four years ago!

Critics seem to agree, anyway. It’s a great platformer that doesn’t disappoint.

The game is available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
