It truly was only a matter of time before CyberConnect2 and SEGA were going to add demons to the playable characters roster. I was a little surprised that they weren’t already there when Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles first launched. But the wait is over and now the two most powerful demons from the first season, both of which are featured in the game, have been added to the roster!
Players can now choose to play as two members of the Twelve Kizuki: Rui (Lower Five), the demon of Mt. Natagumo, and Akaza (Upper Three), a fighter who appeared during the Mugen Train segment. Of course, these characters are only going to be playable in versus mode, but once you update your game to version 1.1, battling with them can begin!
Along with new characters, this update will bring online missions to challenge players and allow them to earn more Kimetsu Points you can use to unlock rewards. There are also new rewards to unlock, such as newly added Quotes and Profile Photos. This update has already been released and is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam!
