Sega Releases Two More Demons For DEMON SLAYER: THE HINOKAMI CHRONICLES

Just over a month since its initial release and Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles has received its second free post-launch content update. CyberConnect2 and SEGA are definitely working on getting as much out to the players as possible, likely trying to stay ahead of the official Season 2 release for the anime in December. With positive reviews, the release of their first batch of demons, and now taking part in the Steam Autumn Sale, they are sure to start attracting attention to the game - especially from those who are waiting for a good time to grab this anime game.

In this latest update, version 1.20, they have added both the directional arrows manipulation demon Yahaba and the powerful mari thrower Susamaru to the Versus mode roster! This now gives us a total of four demons to choose from and we are likely to get the remaining big names that we face off against in the story mode. The best part is, these new characters are free content drops so everybody who has the game on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S will have access to them.

Along with these powerful demons, they have added a few aspects to improve the game for returning and new players. There are more online missions have been added to the game for players to earn Kimetsu Points and unlock new rewards. They added a new “60fps mode” for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Steam versions of the game. Within this mode, the controllable sections of exploration and combat in Story mode and certain controllable sections in the offline Versus mode will be playable in 60fps.

There is sure to be more content to come for Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles and I can’t wait to see what else they add. I’m hopeful that once more of the story is released for the anime, the developers will work on getting a story extension DLC for the game so that we can journey past the Mugen Train arc. For now, I’ll see you in the online arena!
