DESTINY 2: THE WITCH QUEEN Gets A New Trailer And SteelSeries Partnership

Bungie has officially revealed the launch trailer for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, the latest expansion for their long-running, MMO shooter. The trailer debuted today and features footage of the new campaign, new weapons, and new activities players will have access to when the expansion launches next week.

The Witch Queen will feature a fully replayable story with a more difficult, Legendary difficulty setting that rewards exclusive cosmetics and powerful gear. The Witch Queen will also be the culmination of several years’ worth of storytelling within both Destiny 2 and the original Destiny.

The trailer showed off more of Savathun, the central antagonist of this expansion and an enemy who’s been making moves in the shadows for some time now. She’s somehow stolen the power of the Light, a cosmic force that gifts all Guardians with their magical abilities and immortality, and bestowed it on her own, Hive soldiers.

The launch trailer also provides a closer look at some of the different environments players can encounter within Savathun’s Throneworld, the new explorable space coming alongside The Witch Queen. The trailer closes with a tease of the new endgame Raid that will take place within a derelict pyramid ship.

The launch trailer comes alongside the announcement that Bungie is teaming up with SteelSeries to release a limited-edition run of Destiny-themed accessories, including an Arctis 1 headset, a Rival 5 Gaming Mouse, a QcK Prism XL Mousepad, and Arctis Pro Speaker Plates. The headset, gaming mouse, and mousepad also come with exclusive, in-game emblems.

There are sure to be more mysteries and secrets to uncover when Destiny 2: The Witch Queen launches on February 22, 2022, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, and PC via Steam.
