Dev Diaries For AETERNA NOCTIS Break Down What Makes This Metroidvania Unique

In a series of short developer diary videos on YouTube, Aeternum Game Studios goes over the art and music that makes their upcoming Metroidvania title, Aeterna Noctis, stand out. This studio shows off how it has no intentions of holding back on this title with a soundtrack of 46 specially crafted tracks. With plenty of time from now till their release date of December 15th, we are sure to see more of what helps put this game together.

The first developer diary video went over the art and I definitely suggest checking that out. But as far as the gameplay goes, you can expect to explore the world of Aeterna with the freedom of a non-linear path. All the levels are designed to fully exploit the movement skills of the characters, opening multiple ways to overcome each challenge. This title is aiming to be easy to learn, but hard to master as you gain experience and unlock new skills.

Planned to release on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, players on all platforms will get to experience this storyline and Metroidvania gameplay. If the behind-the-scenes videos don’t convince you to be interested, then I suggest checking out this extended gameplay video as well.
