EMPIRES OF THE UNDERGROWTH Joins Publisher Hooded Horse's Portfolio

Slug Disco Studios has been working on and improving their empire-building strategy bug war simulation game Empires of the Undergrowth ever since it came out in early access back in 2017. Now, publishers Hooded Horse have announced that they are adding Empires of the Undergrowth to their portfolio and are working with Slug Disco as they transition the game out of early access and into version 1.0.

In Empires of the Undergrowth, players will lead a colony of ants to glory in the wilderness with real-time strategy and management. Empires of the Undergrowth will challenge players to expand their colony and eliminate threats in the surrounding environment. Set in the world of ants, this game offers extensive nest-building and management features, with workers maintaining nest operations below ground while players control armies of ants in the battle against rival colonies, armored insects, amphibians, and other critters.

Empires of the Undergrowth has been in early access since 2017 and has received regular content updates including new species such as fire ants, new game modes including an auto-battle style tug of war, and new maps. With over five years of updates, the game has grown tremendously and is now approaching its 1.0 release. Anticipating the official release, Slug Disco has partnered with Hooded Horse to help with the game's marketing and transition to 1.0. Prepare to lead your colony to prosperity and glory in the wilderness with Empires of the Undergrowth, as it approaches its long-awaited 1.0 release.

Empires of the Undergrowth is currently available in Early Access on PC via Steam and will be officially releasing version 1.0 soon at an as-of-yet unannounced date.
