A few months back, Team17 and The Game Kitchen announced that they are planning on developing Blasphemous 2. When this new title was announced, they also revealed that a free DLC would be coming for the original game, Blasphemous. Well, the wait is over as they have launched Wounds of Eventide, the third and final free update!
Unveiling the final chapter of The Penitent One’s first story, Wounds of Eventide offers new levels, bosses, items, and secrets to unearth, while unlocking another fate for Cvstodia. This final chapter will also act as a segue into the sequel title and connect the story into what is to come. Mind you, this sequel isn’t planned to release until 2023.
Blasphemous: Wounds of Eventide is available on all platforms, along with all the previous updates and DLC’s. This game really does have a lot to it and has grown since it was first released in 2019. If you are a fan of hardcore, 2D side-scrolling action, then this is a series to get into while the first game is fully decked out! You can even get it on sale during Team17’s 12 Days of Christmas sale.
