That’s right. The genius team over at Dapper Dog Digital has concocted the unthinkable. We have officially arrived at the point where we can have a fully playable Magic School Bus episode in complete Metroidvania style. Bio-Gun is currently being showcased on Steam’s Next Fest and we encourage you to try out the demo here!
After his best friend falls ill from the Dooper Virus, DocX engineers a vaccine from pig DNA to save his trusty canine’s life. You play as Bek, the badass pig vaccine set up to destroy the virus within the dog’s body. The fate of the dog-kind is in your hands and Bek will stop at nothing to destroy the virus.
Bio-Gun is touted to have Metroidvania style exploration and encourages the player to check every part of the dog’s body. You will fight off microscopic bacteria as you traverse through different organs while besting the evil virus within. The game will also have upgradeable weapons and stats to help you strengthen Bek along your journey.
With a bumpin’ soundtrack and an 80’s Saturday morning cartoon theme, Bio-Gun is shaping up to bring warm and fuzzy feels along with some awesome action. Be sure to try out the demo for Bio-Gun from February 21-28th on Steam. While the Bio-Gun Demo is only here for a limited time, the full game is due to launch later this year.
