In case you missed last Thursday’s TGAs, we got you covered on what you may have missed regarding The Matrix franchise! On the gaming side, we got a reveal trailer for The Matrix Awakens which is an Unreal Engine 5 experience that you can download right now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles! It’s a showcase of what gaming will become in the next few years and offers some truly impressive and exciting visuals.
Secondly, there’s the film side. We got a brand-new clip from the upcoming film, The Matrix Resurrections. The trailer shows Keanu Reeve’s character Neo as he follows Bugs (Jessica Henwick) through a crowded train to meet with Morpheus (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). It’s a cool scene not only because of its tricks but because it’s one of the first times we see Neo meeting with who can only be described as the “new” Morpheus.
It’s true to say that The Matrix franchise really seems to be in its element as of late. It’s a fantastic one that deserves all of the love that it’s getting and I really hope to see it make an even bigger splash in the gaming world soon.
