Blending the city-builder and survival genre’s together into a thriving task list of build, nurture, protect, and survive is Wild Forest Studio. Featuring their game Night Is Coming as part of indie publisher Ravenscourt’s game family during the latest Indie Arena, we got a glimpse of the gameplay and horror’s that await the night.

This game is set to take place in a grim fantasy world that was inspired by Slavic mythology and the mystique of the Carpathian region. On top of the common management parts in which players have to set up a working “society,” players will face the approaching dangers of winter and mystical, deadly night creatures. RPG elements offer different preferences and aversions in each settler, making the management aspect of settlements even more crucial. Get ready to assign soldiers, build defensive structures, and use powerful magical spells all while trying to keep villagers sane. Build and manage, repair and improve, fight and protect, but first and foremost - survive!

Night is Coming will release in 2022 on PC via Steam. Strategic building is one thing, but are you ready to try to build up a quant civilization that’s prepared to fight against the horrors of Slavic mythology?
