Capcom is on a roll with Resident Evil news from the Tokyo Game Show, as they just announced the latest entry in their original CG animated film collection which will be titled, Biohazard: Vendetta.
Biohazard: Vendetta will be a feature-length film with an original story and will center around long-time Resident Evil favorites, Chris Redfield, Rebecca Chambers, and Leon Kennedy.
The film will be directed by Takanori Tsujimoto who is known for his work on Patlabor: The Next Generation, with a script by Makoto Fukami known for Psycho-Pass and School-Live!, and will feature the musical stylings of Kenji Kawai known for Patlabor and Ghost in the Shell. Notably, Takashi Shimizu who is reknown for creating Ju-on (The Grudge), is credited as executive producer.
The film is scheduled for release in Japan in Spring of 2017. No North American release plans have been announced as of yet.
