In the upcoming Spider-Man title, players will be taking the role of a much older, more experienced and confident Spidey as he walks around the streets of New York City “with style and confidence.” The developers also made Spider-Man assertive and in control of his abilities, and he’ll be able to switch smoothly from swinging around town, shooting webs, or engaging in melee combat. Insomniac Games described their vision for Spider-Man with terms like “speed,” “style,” “flow,” and “fluidity.” Although Spider-Man will be depicted as confident, the game will still be an underdog story. The upcoming Spider-Man title, which was announced in E3 2016, will not be tied-in to any existing Spider-Man movies and will be a game on its own. Furthermore, the dev confirmed that the open world in their game would be much larger and grander than that of previous titles.
