Next Chapter In The DARK PICTURES ANTHOLOGY, LITTLE HOPE, Revealed In New Trailer

Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games are announcing the next chapter for The Dark Pictures Anthology, simply titled Little Hope, with a trailer that starts off as an accolades trailer for the first chapter, Man of Medan. If you played the first game of this anthology series then there is a chance that you knew about Little Hope from a hidden clue you can find near the end of the game, given you took the correct path, but if you didn’t then here it is laid out for you!

It is an interesting way to announce a new game, honestly, as the majority of the trailer video features clips and reactions to the first game. Perhaps it is a way to get you hyped for the next title, but I would have rather seen more than roughly thirty seconds of footage of the new game in the three-minute-long trailer. At least we get a bit of the story, see the main characters, and witness one of the many ways that death can occur to one of the characters in the next title.

I am looking forward to Little Hope and sincerely hope that the story will be something that will keep me in the dark for longer than Man of Medan did. Maybe it was my own intuitions fault that I was able to solve the reality of what was happening in the first game too quickly, but at the same time, I felt it was a bit obvious. I’m just hoping they take a more supernatural approach to this next chapter, kind of like they did back with Until Dawn, to make it scary even when you realize the truth rather than the scare factor being based on visuals over logic.
