What happens when a lowly staffer has to run the nightly news? We’re not exactly sure, but it will certainly be a spectacle to behold. That’s the premise of Not For Broadcast, an alternate 1980s reality in which an unsuspecting employee must choose what goes on air in this bizarre propaganda simulation.
From developer NotGames and publisher tinyBuild, Not For Broadcast launches at the end of the month. The newsroom simulation allows players to take control of the media, managing a nightly news broadcast just as a new government comes to power. There’s a lot of pressure in determining which news will make the broadcast.
Not For Broadcast will release into Steam Early Access on January 20th. NotGames promises three full chapters upon release, with the early access period building on community feedback to develop a complete ten chapters.
