When the official release date for Bandai Namco’s next action RPG title Scarlet Nexus was announced, we also learned that Funimation and Sunrise Inc were working on releasing a partnering anime in the same Summer. With the game set for a June 25th launch and the anime simply set for Summer 2021, it’s fair to say that the developers for both game and anime are working together on the overall brand.
Giving a glimpse into what we can look forward to in the anime, the games opening animation video was actually created by Sunrise Inc, the animation team, and features the song “Dream In Drive” by Japanese rock band The Oral Cigarettes. We already got to see some gameplay in action, so this was pretty awesome to see.
Now we are only about a month away from Scarlet Nexus releasing on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. This means the countdown is closing in for those who are interested in pre-ordering the game. Check out their website for all details and rewards for pre-ordering.
