Pink Floyd Augmented Reality Experience

Even though they released their final album in 2014 (after a nearly 20-year hiatus), you can’t keep a good band like Pink Floyd down. To accompany their current campaign — Pink Floyd: The Later Years — (a massive reissue of their work from David Gilmour’s tenure as bandleader: included remastered and recut versions of their 13th and 14th studio albums: A Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell and Pulse, a live album based on the their 1994-1995 live tour) the group is dabbling in the Augmented Reality Experience racket.

Pink Floyd The Later Years Augmented Reality Experience is a new app that uses real-life locations to generate props, images and symbols related to their albums from 1987 onward: including A Momentary Lapse of Reason, The Division Bell , Pulse and The Endless River. The AR generated images will also produce a jingle associated with whatever song or album the image comes from.

As a huge Pink Floyd fan, I’m excited that the group continues to find new ways to maintain the brand. You can click here to download the app for your phone. You can also see the official trailer below! Shine on, You Crazy Diamond!
