PlayStation Reveals "Road-Lite" Driving Survival Game PACIFIC DRIVE

Imagine a driving survival game set in an alternate 1950s Pacific Northwest. Radioactive forests, shifting lands, and supernatural weather systems make up the entirety of your road trip to freedom. Ironwood Studios is bringing Pacific Drive to the PlayStation 5 next year and it certainly sounds like a unique experience.

Deemed as a “road-lite,” Pacific Drive puts players in the wondrous year of 1955. The government has seized control over a region of the Pacific Northwest and has conducted groundbreaking experiments that have altered the environment dubbed the Olympic Exclusion Zone. Everything from severe radiation to supernatural horrors awaits you on your road trip to survival.

Knowing the rumors surrounding the Pacific Northwest, you seek to see the truth for yourself but somehow end up getting trapped in the Exclusion Zone. Your only way out is to keep pressing on and improving your car in an abandoned auto shop as you progress through the game. Discover new resources to customize your vehicle's defenses, customize your garage, and discover dangerous routes that spiral you deeper into the Zone.

Pacific Drive has been in development since 2019 and Ironwood Studios has partnered with PlayStation to bring this unique experience to life. The game is expected to launch next year on PlayStation 5 and PC, so stay tuned for more details.
