The “Future of Gaming” is finally set to be unveiled as Sony has announced an online presentation is scheduled for Thursday, June 4 to showcase the first PS5 games! The presentation is scheduled to begin at 1 PM PT/4 PM ET and will run for just over an hour. Game reveals will come from studios both large and small and will give gamers a taste of what’s in store for the following years. The presentation will be held on the PlayStation Twitch and YouTube channels.
“I’m excited to share that we will soon give you a first look at the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday. The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe. Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware.”
While this event is going to be focused on games I do hope that Sony takes an opportunity to at least show us the PS5 console itself. Games are what make a platform in the end but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to see what those games will be played on. But even if they don’t, I am still looking forward to seeing everything that is in store. I am particularly curious to see anything from Guerilla and Insomniac make it into the presentation!
