Release Date For Co-op Game BOKURA Revealed

Tokoronyori and Kodansha Games Creator’s Lab have developed a co-op puzzle game called BOKURA with a planned release. It’s no surprise that Japan is one of, if not the, best place for video games. So many games that come out of there are incredible and capture the imagination of gamers around the world. It’s a place with many AAA studios, but their Indie scene is just as impressive. There is a certain respect for the story and meaningful artistic approach in Japanese games. BOKURA doesn’t seem to be any different.

The game is only playable with two players and revolves around two runaways who fled home. Each player works in the same space but with different perspectives. Oral direction and communication through voice chat are crucial to solve puzzles and finish the game. Friends will unravel a branching narrative that is decided through both players agreeing on the select path. When one of the multiple endings is unlocked, an epilogue about the boys’ future is available. The game is set to be an emotional ride about two boys coming of age and what belonging means to two little boys.

BOKURA will be released on August 9th for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
