Following the huge success that was Resident Evil 2: The Board Game, Steamforged Games knew they had to try their hand at bringing Resident Evil 3 to the tabletop as well. Working in collaboration with Capcom, Steamforged plans to bring Resident Evil 3: The Board Game to Kickstarter on April 28.
Based on the original video game, the tabletop variant is a co-op survival horror game that can be played by 1-4 players, as they try to run from the hulking NEMESIS, and escape Raccoon City. Just like the video game, players will need to manage their inventory and make important decisions in either one-shot scenarios, or a 19+ hour campaign. The design of Resident Evil 3: The Board Game comes from the mind of Sherwin Matthews of Steamforged Games, who also headed the development of the Resident Evil 2 tabletop rendition.
Resident Evil 3: The Board Game launches on Kickstarter come April 28. Those interested can follow the campaign on Kickstarter to be notified when it goes live. The game has already reached its goal of 2500 followers before launch, so backers will receive the “Jill Biker Gear” miniature with their game.
