Developer Mad Mimic and publisher NEOWIZ have taken a crack at the roguelike genre with Dandy Ace. The game has been available on PC via Steam since March but now we see it head to Xbox and Switch consoles. The story follows a famous magician, Dandy Ace, trying to combine and use his magical cards to escape a mirror realm he’s trapped in. The environment is actually a lavish ever-changing mansion within the mirror. Players will fight and loot their way to battle and defeat the green-eyed illusionist.
As the player assumes the role of Dandy Ace, they will be faced with the challenge of finding all the magic cards in a constantly changing palace. Players will face many challenges including creepy enemy types and over-the-top bosses. They will have access to thousands of different options when building their deck of magical cards and in turn, shape their gameplay style based on their deck choices.
The list of roguelike games continues to grow but Dandy Ace looks to carve out its own identity in the genre. Check this one out on PC via Steam, Xbox consoles via Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch. It’s also scheduled to come to the PlayStation Store before the end of the year.
